Your Bio

I've been shooting digital since 2000, starting with the Nikon CoolPix 990, progressing through the Nikon CoolPix 8700, and ending up at the incredible Canon XSi (450D). My daughters were born in 2000 and 2002, which provided the impetus for most of my shots in those early years. But as they, and I, have grown, it has become more about the photograph and less about the snapshot.

My equipment: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D), Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS, Canon 70-200 L f/4 IS, Canon 50 f/1.8, Kenko 1.4x Teleconverter, Canon 500D Close-Up Lens

Next to get: Canon 135L

My software: Bibble Pro for RAW processing, Adobe Photoshop 6.0 - old but still plenty of horsepower, PIE Studio for memory card loading and image browsing, Qimage Pro for printing, Autostitch for panoramas, Photomatix for HDR.

Nikon Cameras : Prior to moving to my Canon XSi SLR, I shot exclusively Nikon. Starting in 2000 with the CoolPix 990 (one of the greatest cameras ever), and then ending up with the CoolPix 8700, these were the top of the non-SLR Nikon line. A fantastic introduction to digital photography!
